Everything you need to know about the NewBodyRx program, services, and support.
You must meet certain criteria and be qualified by your medical provider to obtain prescriptive medications. This will be determined during your intake process.
Prescriptive medications require verification of identity, usually accomplished by uploading a copy of your driver’s license during the intake process.
Synchronous visits have 2-way communication (call or video). Asynchronous visits are through text or email. Some states require your initial visit to be synchronous. Otherwise, your visits will be asynchronous.
Our TeleHealth partners ensure you have a qualified provider, licensed in your state, offering appropriate medical oversight in a convenient online service model. You have the ability to reach out to your provider for non-urgent medical questions or concerns through your online patient portal. For urgent or emergent medical issues you should dial 911 immediately.
Our pharmacy partners provide direct mail order medications conveniently sent to the address of your preference in discreet packaging. Shipping and pharmacy related questions will be answered by NewBodyRx and/or your shipping pharmacy.
Our Electronic Health Record enables you to connect with your provider in a secure, private, HIPAA complaint, password protected patient portal. During you intake you will be asked to create a login.
Labs or other testing are not generally required. However, your medical provider may request testing at his/her discretion based on your medical condition. The cost of additional testing is not included in our pricing.
Medications are generally shipped within 72 hours (excluding Sundays and holidays) of your telehealth approval and usually arrive within a few days. Tracking information will be provided. Cold shipping will be used when needed.
Proper storage ensures the effectiveness of your medication. Follow these guidelines for storing GLP-1 medication, including recommended temperatures, handling instructions, and tips to maintain its integrity. Read more on the GLP-1 Instructions page.
BUD is 30-90 days beyond first puncture of the medication vial. The BUD is determined by the pharmacy and can vary. Medication effectiveness can naturally degrade during prolonged storage or delayed usage.
Some products are shipped as a dry powder and require reconstitution. Please see our GLP-1 Instructions page for more information.
GLP-1 medications are weekly self-administered subcutaneous injections. Please see our GLP-1 Instructions page for more information.
Dosing is determined by your provider. General dosing guidelines can be found on our GLP-1 Instructions page.
Safely disposing of sharps is essential for your health and the environment. Learn the proper methods for disposing of needles and syringes, including approved containers and local disposal guidelines. Read more on the GLP-1 Instructions page.
Medications are cleared for uses proven effective and safe in clinical trials and authorized by the FDA. Approvals require both efficacy and safety data. Use of medications for indications not specifically approved by the FDA are considered "off label". Off label use is common and legal.
A compounded medication is prepared by a compounding pharmacy using the same active ingredients as brand medications. A compounded medication usually differs from the brand medication in dose, has a combination of ingredients, or has some other unique characteristic. Compounded medications are not specifically FDA approved, but are manufactured in certified pharmacies under strict manufacturing guidelines.
While most side effects of GLP-1 medications are mild and manageable, some may require immediate medical attention. If you experience severe abdominal pain, signs of pancreatitis (such as persistent nausea or vomiting), or thoughts of self-harm, seek medical help immediately or call 911. Bothersome or persistent symptoms should be reported to your doctor.
Most symptoms are dose related. Decreasing your dose may help alleviate minor symptoms. Do not increase your dose if having symptoms. Additional safety information can be found on our GLP-1 Safety Information page.
Serious side effects are uncommon. Your intake questionnare and telehealth visits screen you for contradictions to treatment. Please review our GLP-1 Safety Information page for more detailed information. If you develop concerning symptoms consult your doctor immediately or call 911.
Pain, redness, or swelling at the injection site is common and usually resolves on its own. Rotating injection sites and using proper injection techniques can minimize discomfort. Read more on our GLP-1 Instructions page.
Headaches are another common complaint but are generally mild. Over-the-counter pain relief can be used if necessary.
Some patients report feeling unusually tired. Ensuring adequate rest and consulting a healthcare provider if fatigue persists is recommended.
Adjusting diet, increasing fluid intake, and using over-the-counter remedies may provide relief. Consult your doctor or call 911 if symptoms are significant or persistent.
Increased gas production and belching may occur. Dietary adjustments and avoiding carbonated beverages can reduce these symptoms.

Low blood sugar levels, particularly when combined with other medications like insulin or sulfonylureas, may occur. Symptoms include dizziness, sweating, palpitations, shaking, and confusion. It is important to monitor blood sugar levels regularly and adjust medication doses as needed.
Rapid weight loss associated with GLP-1 use can lead to temporary hair thinning or loss. Nutritional support and proper hair care routines may help manage this side effect.
GLP-1s can increase heart rate in some people. It's important to take your pulse periodically when you take these medications. Tell your doctor about any heart conditions before beginning a GLP-1 or if you experience palpitations or an increase in heart rate of 10 or more beats per minute while taking these medications.
Symptoms include heartburn and acid reflux. Lifestyle changes, such as avoiding trigger foods and eating smaller meals, can help manage GERD symptoms.
There have been reports of increased thoughts of self-harm or suicidal behavior in some patients taking GLP-1 medications. This is a rare side effect but requires immediate attention. Patients should be monitored for changes in mood or behavior, especially in the initial stages of treatment, and promptly report any suicidal thoughts or changes in their mood.
